What are you thankful for today? I’m thankful for many things, but one thing in particular has stood out to me this week – so much so that I posted about it on my Facebook page yesterday, choosing not to wait until today to be thankful about it! 🙂 Here it is, a bit late, in all it’s glory of plagiarism from my FB page (is it plagiarism if I stole it from myself?).
As I’ve passed through this journey of surgeries and recovery, I’ve seen my already wonderful husband step up and take on even more responsibilities. One advantage of me having to step back a bit is that I’m being reminded again and noticing anew what a great father he is to our kids. He loves them so much.
Seeing his great love for and desire to give good things to his children reminds me of our Heavenly Father who does these things perfectly. I’m thankful for a husband who, in his imperfection, reflects the love of His Savior both to his kids and to me. And I’m especially thankful for a good, good Father who loves me perfectly and does all things for His glory and my good – so thankful that I am loved by Him.
Thank You Lord for Your love and the love of Jeremy. Please help me, in turn, love you both with a more selfless, sacrificial love like you both have demonstrated to me.
(And so, so thankful for Christ who made it possible for me to be loved by such a good Father).
