Day 19 – Baby steps!

Day 19 – Baby steps!

Doing well today! Baby steps, but I’m able to do more in a day. Today I took a long shower, did a “quick clean” of our bathroom, did a full bag change while the home care nurse was here (standing the whole time), and picked up Mia from school! Thankful to be so mobile and able to do more each day.

The home care nurse saw my skin and said it was quite irritated but that with the special powder it should hopefully clear up in a week or two. Thankfully it doesn’t hurt too badly!

My reattachment surgery is officially scheduled for December 19th. Still waiting for the final ok from the obgyn surgeon, but that’s the plan for now. I’m thinking I should be home before Christmas! Although it means being in the hospital and recovering during the holidays, having the surgery done this calendar year will save us more than $5K, so I’d consider that a pretty nice Christmas gift to ourselves  So please keep praying the obgyn surgeon will ok it (meaning my body would be ready for it).

Thank you again for your prayers and support. It has meant the world to me!
