I went to my post-op appointment today. The doctor was pleased with my progress and we set up a tentative date for my next (and Lord willing, final) surgery: February 20th. Before that, however, I will have to have some imaging and a not-so-fun test on February 2nd to make sure that my reattachment site has no possible leak sites or that the scarring inside isn’t so thick that it is causing blockage. If we get the “all clear,” the surgery will be on for February 20th.
- the doctor is happy with my progress. I’m happy that there is progress also (down to one prescription pill a day, at bedtime).
- we have a date set for the next (and hopefully final) surgery.
- Jeremy and the kids all have colds, and none of us have been sleeping well – Jeremy and I were up every hour last night between a spider nightmare and a stuffy nosed boy. I have either caught a stomach bug or have an upset stomach from the lack of sleep. Please pray for healing.
- Because of the above, I feel a bit discouraged. Please pray that we can get some good sleep (all of us) soon and that we would persevere. Jeremy has classes next week and needs energy and stamina for that. Please pray that we would all honor God through this and learn to trust Him more in this journey.
Thank you friends! Thank you for going along with me in this journey and for upholding my family and me in prayer. I admit I do look forward to when this surgery journey is done and I will have to rack my brain for topics to blog about!
